She turned the hostess position into something entirely unique – a brand ambassador for Hilton in general. She did all of this with a smile on her face that was contagious. Helping out with the buffet and bussing tables.
Playing off Kathy with people who were conversing. What made her stand out is, that in between seating her guests, she would interact with parties that were already seated. She constantly kept an eye on the door, greeting and seating everyone that came in both busy mornings. She turns a position that is frequently relegated to the hostess podium into a breakfast-cruise-director role.
Well done Kathy!!! Finally, Desiree, the hostess for breakfast both mornings. She set our day up for positive feelings and high energy. Not an easy task for business travelers who are usually tired and recluse in the mornings. She had everyone in the restaurant talking and interacting with each other.

She turns what could be a minimal interaction buffet breakfast into a full blown breakfast party. She is a true people person that makes you feel like you are family. Second, Kathy F, our waitress for breakfast both mornings. Little touches like that go a long way to make a hotel fell like home. They clearly understand the art to bartending – not just talking to and listening to the patrons, but remembering your drink(s) the next day. They worked well together in an effort to take care of a pretty busy bar scene. They provided tips on where to eat and where to go in and around Knoxville. First, Rachel and Patrick, the bartenders on Wednesday/Thursday night. On my last trip, four people stood out above the rest not an easy task in an already high-quality group. From the Bell Hop to the GM, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable while you are traveling. There is an obvious culture of "Think Customer First" that is evident at all levels throughout the property. What makes this hotel stand out though is the customer service. The rooms are modern and well-kept with awesome views. I can confidently say that this hotel is my new favorite! The location is unbelievable. I stay exclusively at Hilton properties all over the Southeast.
